Track & Field 2010 Season February 16th.
ATTENTION :
The 2010 NHS Track & Field season begins Tuesday February 16th.
The following administrative tasks must be completed before a student-athlete can fully participate in practice and meets.
Submit by February 17, 2010:
1. Documentation of a "Physical Exam" on file at SAC
2. Yellow emergency card (provide to trainer or Coach Duncanson)
3. Code of Conduct - Must be read and signed by the student-athlete AND parent/guardian (see the school website for the Code of Conduct)
Submit by February 24, 2010:
1. PARTICIPATION FEE: $125.00 (includes a team tee shirt and a hooded pullover sweatshirt)
2. NHS PRACTICE UNIFORMS: See Order Form for sizes and options
(a) Team Tee shirt is required. The first shirt is provided : Additional shirts are available for $15
(b) Hooded Sweat Top is provided : Additional sweatshirts are available for $25 each
(c) Shorts required and are supplied by student-athlete (color options - Navy, Black or Gray)
(d) Sweat Pants recommended - Supplied by student-athlete (options - Navy, Black or Gray)
3. NHS MEET UNIFORMS :
(a) One Singlet and one pair of shorts will be issued to each student-athlete by the Athletic Department. A limited number of Meet "Speed Suits" will be provided by the AD to varsity student-athletes. All issued items must be returned to the AD in good condition at season's end.
(b) Sweat Pants are required - Supplied by student-athlete (SOLID Black or Navy ONLY)
Optional Items for Purchase - NHS MEET Uniform : See Coach Duncanson to Special Order
(a) Meet Warm Up Suits (Jacket and Pants) can be purchased and used for future seasons $69
(b) Meet Warm Up Pants (Solid Black) $35
(c) Meet "Speed Suit" $35
(d) Meet Shorts - can be used for practice or meets (additional pairs) $16 each
Submit by MARCH 5:
1. BOOSTER FEE : All NHS families are encouraged to join by March 5, 2010

2. TRANSPORTATION FEE : $245.00 (deliver to SAC)
3. PERMISSION SLIP / School Release
4. PERMISSION SLIP / Travel to meets other than by school vehicle
Additional Notes:
NOTE: All new and returning student-athletes must pay the Team Participation Fee of $125.00. The Team Participation Fee includes a team tee shirt and hooded pullover sweatshirt (all with NHS logos). The team tee shirt must be worn at practice, and the hooded pullover is designed for both meet and practice use. The tee shirt can be ordered in either a sleeveless or standard short sleeve style. All track team members must supply their own practice shorts and sweat pants. Extra Team Tee Shirts and Hooded Pullovers can be ordered for $15 and $25 respectively. Additional items for both meet and practice use can also be ordered. Please refer to the ATHLETE APPAREL ORDER FORM and submit your order by February 24.
NOTE: A " jogathon" has been tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon February 26 for those who would like to use this as a personal fund raiser. See Coach Duncanson for a letter and form that can be used by the athlete to solicit pledges. This is a great opportunity for those student-athletes who are challenged to pay all or part of the fees or uniform costs.
NOTE: All paperwork must be turned in to Coach Duncanson on time. If any paperwork comes in after the designated deadlines, the student-athletes attendance record may reflect a class absence and may subject the student-athlete to other disciplinary consequences.
